Cora is growing up...

Cora loves her headband!! She loves trying to be a big girl and put it on herself...
Our Little Cora is growing up so fast. She is already 9 1/2 months...almost 10 months. She is learning and growing everyday and showing us new things everyday! She can now say "ow" or wow, she plays hide and go seek with her hands, she waves "hi" and "bye", she blows kisses (still working to perfect that one), does the motion for "big girl", she puts a phone up to her ear now as if she's talking on the phone, and she pulls up on furniture to her feet...last night she ventured out into moving from one piece of furniture to the other. She is so smart and such a quick learner. We are so lucky to have her. She loves her big sister and wants to do anything and everything she is doing. One of her favorite things to do is go into Kayley's room to play with her toys while Kayley's in the other room. I think she knows that now anytime she plays with one of Kayley's toys, it's all of a sudden a new found toy that is Kayley's favorite and she always ends up taking it away from Cora, hence why Cora loves to go into Kayley's room by herself!! We just love this little girl...oh and on the slide show, you can put the cursor on the picture to stop it and see the caption. Have fun looking at the pics!

Memorial Day 2008

I realize that Memorial Day is come and gone almost by a month now. However, I'm just now getting around to getting some pics updated. Here are some fun pics of our fun weekend. We had the Carles over for a barbeque that Judson and Nick cooked for us. Then we headed to Union Station for the "Celebration at the Station." We met the Walkers there and enjoyed the music from the St. Louis Symphony and fireworks afterwards. I unfortunately did not get the best pictures as our hands were tied up between holding Kayley and Cora's ears. They had cannons there that they set off during the last song and that sent Cora into a tizzy! She basically screamed throughout the whole fireworks show. I tried nursing her after I thought the cannons were finished, but luckily Jessica saw that they were lighting up the cannons again so I took her off before I lost a body part from teeth. Anyway, other than that, it was a lot of fun and the weather was great!!

Mary & Tyson's Wedding

Tyson joined our family on May 17th and it was a great day for a wedding as you can tell from the pictures. It was so fun to see all the nieces and nephews in matching outfits. It made for great pictures even though they may not have all been looking/smiling at the same time! Thanks Stephanie for making all the cute sashes!! Here are pictures of the wedding party at the temple as well as the lucky couple!

Then later that night was the reception in Columbia at the Tiger Hotel. It was lots of fun and lots of dancing! Everyone immediately took their shoes off, including all the kids...they all had a blast!!
That weekend sure was fun as it had been a while since everyone had gotten together. Here we all are at Andrew and Sarah's house playing woofle ball together. Thanks to Andrew and Sarah for letting us bombard their house the whole weekend! It was great fun...the whole weekend!

Nick's New Haircut

This is my attempt to cutting Nick's hair, just right before Mary and Tyson's wedding. Now, I have done it before (twice to be exact) and I've done a very good job, with Nick's help of course! Well, I didn't do such a great job this last time as I totally spaced putting on the guard and finally realized it after 1 1/2 swipes. Well, Nick was a great sport about it as he didn't divorce me, yet... I felt horrible, but of course, I couldn't stop laughing about it...I was basically in tears! We were definitely the talk at the temple and it was requested that we sit in the back corner of the sealing room so no one would crack up in the middle of Mary and Tyson's wedding ceremony. I asked Nick to keep his hair long until after the wedding pictures and then he got a military cut on the way home from the temple. Needless to say, he sure does love me a lot as he was such a good sport about it throughout the whole time! Now, we we will always pay to get his haircut from now on, unless he's brave enough to let me tackle his hair again!

Preston's Blessing Weekend

The weekend of Preston's weekend was lots of fun had with all the Bell family! On Saturday night we all hunkered in Shannon and John's hotel room to use their pool. It was an indoor pool as it was just slightly too cold to swim outside. Kayley was of course right by her buddy Shannon while Nick and I swapped with Cora. They both loved the swimming!! It was lots of fun for those that swam!

Here are the pictures of the blessing day. Everything went well. Kayley loved being able to be a big girl and hold Preston, of course with a little help from me! It was a fun weekend with everyone there!

Some April Festivities

Here are some things we did for April. Both Jessica and Judson celebrated their birthdays. Cora continued to show us that she can sleep ANYWHERE! Cora and Kayley had fun matching their cousin, Ashlyn in Valentine's Day outfits. Kayley got a jump start on spring with planting flowers we got from my visiting teacher Kate.

Here are some bath time fun pictures of the girls. They love to take baths together and will play in there for hours on end...no matter what the temperature is. Oftentimes they play for so long that they are shivering but still having lots of fun together!

Kayley's flowers

Here's my little green thumbed Kayley. My visiting teacher brought over some flowers and Kayley loved planting them and watching them outside. I did have to do most of the dirty work as she still is not a big fan of getting dirty. Hopefully that will change this summer as we are almost ready to plant our garden and she loves to help me!! She loves to go outside and play, so hopefully she'll put that enthusiasm into the garden with me this summer!

Cora loves her Preston

Cora loves her Preston...anytime she is near him, she can't get enough of him! We have now come to learn that she is this way with any baby, real or pretend. That grunting noise she likes to make for animals, she makes for babies too. We gave her a baby at Andrew and Sarah's this weekend and she couldn't get enough of her either...but don't worry Preston, I think you still have her heart!! :)
